Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and we are committed to safeguarding your privacy while online at our site www.windowsdigitals.com. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for this Web site.
Who we are
Our website address is: https://www.windowsdigitals.com. It is run by Nyau Wai Hoe.
Advertising
This Site is affiliated with CMI Marketing, Inc., d/b/a CafeMedia (“CafeMedia”) for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and CafeMedia will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We do not collect or use your browsing data. Apart from the comment services named under Comments, we do not share your data directly with anyone. The services we use may collect and use your data anonymously directly.
Comments
Comments on this site are handled by our own comment system, which runs on our website rather than a third-party service. Your name, your comment and its date are shown publicly on the article.
Older comments: comments posted before 26 October 2026 were made through Disqus. We copied their names, dates and text into our own system; no email addresses or IP addresses came with them. To have one of your old comments removed, email us (see “Deleting your data” below).
What we keep: the name you enter (a nickname is fine), your comment and when you posted it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, an account ID and your email address, so we can recognize you next time; we never see your password. If you tick “Email me replies”, we keep your email address only to send you those emails, and delete it when you unsubscribe or one year after your last comment.
What we don’t keep: we don’t store your IP address or browser details, and we don’t use Gravatar or profile pictures.
Signing in: Google (privacy policy) confirms who you are and knows that you signed in to this site. We don’t post anything to your account and don’t see your contacts or other data.
Spam protection: when you click into the comment box, our page loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you’re not an automated program when you post (Cloudflare’s privacy policy). To stop floods of spam, your IP address is used briefly, in scrambled form, to limit how often comments can be posted, and is discarded within an hour.
On your device: your browser remembers the name you last used, your preferred comment order and, until it’s approved, a code that lets you see your own comment marked “Waiting for approval”. If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in for up to 60 days (until you sign out); it holds your account number and, encrypted, the email address Google gave us, which we only save on our side if you ask for reply emails. While you sign in, a cookie that lasts 10 minutes protects the sign-in from tampering, and your unfinished comment is kept in that browser tab so it isn’t lost. None of this is shared with anyone else.
Reports: if you sign in and report a comment, we record which account reported it, so each reader counts once. Reports are deleted when the comment is approved or removed.
Emails are sent on our behalf by Resend (privacy policy): reply emails to readers who ask for them, and emails to us about new and reported comments, which include the comment and the name on it.
Deleting your data: you can delete your own comment within 30 minutes of posting it. If you signed in with Google, you can delete your account and all your comments at any time: sign in, then choose “Delete my account” under the comment box. It takes effect at once; other people’s replies to your comments stay. (If your account was blocked for abuse, we keep only the account ID Google gave us and the block, so the block stays if you sign in again.) If you sign in but never comment, your sign-in details are deleted automatically after 90 days without signing in. Guests, or anyone who can’t sign in any more, can email us at [email protected] with the name they comment under and the articles; we remove those comments within 30 days and reply to confirm. Removing this site’s access in your Google account stops future sign-ins but doesn’t delete anything here, so use “Delete my account” first. A comment you delete, or that we remove, is kept for 30 days and then erased for good (“Delete my account” erases everything at once). To get a copy of your comments or of what we hold about your account, email us at the same address.
