After a long wait and much anticipation, Nvidia has finally announced the release of GeForce RTX 2080 and GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. These new beasts are powered by the company’s next-gen Turing GPU. RTX stands for Ray Tracing technology – a technology capable of significantly more realistic global illumination and precise projections of ambient light, and to effectively produce the reflections and light sources that exist outside of the screen space. This post shows the comparisons of benchmarks and specs between Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 vs 2080 Ti.
These new 20 series graphic cards will succeed Nvidia’s top of the line GPUs, but they won’t come cheap. As of the date this post was written, GeForce RTX 2080 Ti will be priced at $999 ($1199 for Founders Edition), RTX 2080 at $699 ($799 for Founder Edition), and RTX 2070 at $499.
